PRONE    AIR RIFLE    BENCH REST

 

PRONE

 

Club Champion

Must have shot 50% of available shoots during the year (i.e. 50% of 50 = 25).  Average the best 25 scores for each shooter.  The highest average is the Club Champion.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

A, B, C, D Grade Champions

Based on the previous year’s results each shooter will be placed into a grade for the following year.

A Grade           97.6 to 100

B Grade           95.6 to 97.5

C Grade          92.6 to 95.5

D Grade          Up to 92.5

 

Must have shot 50% of available shoots during the year (i.e. 50% of 50 = 25).Average the best 25 scores for each shooter in each of the grades the highest average in each grade wins that grade.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Junior Champion

Same as Club Champion except only scores shot while shooter is under the age of 21 to count towards the junior award.  Junior can win both junior and senior awards.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Handicap Champion

Must have shot 50% of available shoots during the year (i.e. 50% of 50 = 25).  Using the Macrae system for handicapping; average the 25 best handicap scores for each shooter; the shooter with the highest handicap total is the Handicap Champion.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Pennant Champion

The shooter with the highest aggregate score (with two cutouts) in the pennant team; if more than one team; then an award is made to the highest aggregate in each team.

 

Pennant Handicap Champion

Using the Macrae system for handicapping, the shooter with the highest handicap aggregate (with two cutouts) in the pennant team; if more than one team; then an award is made to the highest handicap aggregate in each team.

 

Terry Cotter Memorial Trophy

Awarded to a new shooter in their first full season of shooting; awarded on APTITUDE, ATTITUDE and CLUBMANSHIP; NOT on ability.

 

The Doug Street Memorial Trophy

Awarded to a junior shooter who shows a commitment to the club by their Attitude, Aptitude and general Clubmanship.  This award will be decided by the Committee and will be awarded to any one junior only once.

 

Captain’s Cup

Given by the Captain for any reason he / she sees fit.

 

100 up Badge

Awarded after the shooter achieves their first 100.   Must be shot on a club card.

 

300 & 600 up Badge

Awarded after a shooter achieves 3 x 100 or 6 x 100 in any 6 month period.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Achievement Awards

Proficiency Badge

Obtained scores of 85+ ten times in any six-month period within the shooting season.  Must be shot on club cards.

Marksman Badge

Obtained scores of 90+ ten times in any six-month period within the shooting season.  Must be shot on club cards.

Expert Badge

Obtained scores of 96+ ten times in any six-month period within the shooting season.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Monthly Most Improved

Must shoot above average 3 times in the month. The best 3 improvement factors (determined from the handicap total) are added together. The highest total is the winner.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Monthly Handicap

Shot for in the first week of each month, using the Macrae System for handicapping, the shooters average and score are compared to derive the handicap total. The shooter with the highest handicap total is the winner.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Monthly Highest Aggregate

Take the 3 best scores for each shooter in each month. Add them together the highest aggregate wins.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Yearly Most Improved

Must have shot 50% of available shoots during the year (i.e. 50% of 50 = 25)

Average of the last two months shoots less the average of the first two months shoots, providing the answer is positive.  Express the answer as a percentage.  The highest positive percentage is the winner. .  Must be shot on club cards.

 

 

AIR RIFLE

 

Air Rifle Champion

Must have shot 50% of available shoots during the year (i.e. 50% of 50 = 25)

Average the best 25 Air Rifle scores for each shooter,

The highest average is the Air Rifle Champion.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Air Rifle A,B,C,D,E Grade Champions

Based on the previous year’s results each shooter will be placed into a grade for the following year.

A Grade           94.18 to 100

B Grade           88.35 to 94.17

C Grade          83.35 to 88.34

D Grade          75.10 to 83.34

E Grade           Up to 75.

Air Rifle Achievement Awards

Air Rifle Proficiency Badge

Obtained scores of 75+ ten times in any six-month period within the shooting season.  Must be shot on club cards.

Air Rifle Marksman Badge

Obtained scores of 80+ ten times in any six-month period within the shooting season.  Must be shot on club cards.

Air Rifle Expert Badge

Obtained scores of 86+ ten times in any six-month period within the shooting season.  Must be shot on club cards.

 

Air Rifle Pennant Champion

The shooter with the highest aggregate score (with two cutouts) in the pennant team, if more than one team, then an award is made to the highest aggregate in each team.

B Grade           98.4 to 99.3

C Grade          95.9 to 98.3

D Grade          Up to 95.8
